In todays world especially we justify every action from fornication to murder because of the new religion of "freedom". Freedom turns into slavery when the things we do turn into something negative and start to consume us into a problem. People cannot face reality and accept there is right and wrong, black and white no grey.

Why persecute Jesus or God forces of creation, that believe in the liberty of every true person and who's nature is of love and peace. To me believing in God is all i ever had because life isn't always coincidence and probability we aren't here because of a slim chance out of a million and another slim chance out of a million. God exist and is responsible for our existence why hate a man who extends his hand to help you? Why persecute the greatest human activist who hung on a cross to make us realize our morals weren't in check. This is all easily explained by the sad fact the majority of us do not liked to be told what we did was right or wrong because we are always right.

2) It is true that religion is only about controlling the masses. It has been invented precisely for that purpose. But you seem to forget that in centuries past, that kind of control was absolutely necessary. The fear of death and of unknown bad things that might happen to them was the only thing that could actually make people behave properly as there was nothing else they feared. It was not the kind of times when you could say "If you don't behave, no TV and no dinner !" People were already starving most of the time and life was so hard that it could hardly get any harder. It was jungle's law. Religion was the only thing that could put some much needed limits to people's barbarism to survive. Granted, that kind of control is not needed anymore, granted religion has also done a lot of bad. But it has also done a lot of good in the past, and for some people in some parts of the world, it still is doing some good.

Kemlo, I agree with everything you say but I think you are forgetting some most important points : 1) The foreskin exists to protect the tip of the penis, however, a few millenaries ago, hygiene conditions were not very good and with the kind of heat they had in Africa, an infection underneath the penis was far too quickly developped and far too little cured. The act of mutilating the penis by removing the foreskin was then justified by survival reasons : better to lose your forskin than your life. But humanity has never been destined to remain in such poor life conditions. We've been given a brain and the ability to make and use tools precisely for the purpose of making our lives better. But I do agree with you, not that we've invented soap and showers, mutilating little boys'penises is no longer necessary and can now be viewed as Barbarian.
